FAQs

  • The short answer is yes, but it’s very important to understand the rules if you are on Medicare or are going to receive Schedule II controlled substances, i.e. Xanax, Klonopin, Ritalin, Adderall, etc…

Federal law for Medicare patients requires an initial in person visit to establish care and then at least one in person visit per year.

For controlled substances, The Ryan Haight Act requires an initial in person visit before any controlled substances can be prescribed and then they can be prescribed via telehealth.

  • Yes, I speak Russian, but not entirely. I immigrated from Ukraine in 1978 and had all my schooling in English. I do understand casual spoken Russian, but my ability to speak in return is limited. So for the best possible evaluation with a Russian speaker, you should understand at least some limited English or have a translator with you.

If you are unable to speak English or Russian then you should bring a translator to help bridge the language gap between us. If you are unable to do so please call the office so I can try to help refer you to a provider that is able to speak your language.

  • Disability is a specialized type of psychiatric evaluation. Unfortunately, it not something that I perform. If you decide to see me as a patient I will do my best to diagnose and treat whatever conditions and symptoms exist, however this precludes me from taking a more forensic role which is generally required for disability work. Therefore, even if you are a patient I cannot do any disability work for you.

  • I see individuals 18 and over. At this time I am not treating patients under 18 years old.
